This week's can't-miss GTA IV vehicle mods

Instead of posting a long list of the GTA IV vehicle mods that we uploaded this past week, I'm just going to focus on three that I'm sure you'll all enjoy:
  • Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4: classy Lamborghini that perfectly replaces the Infernus. These sorts of mods have always been criticized for not fitting in with GTA's theme (for example, a Lamborghini in San Andreas), but this Gallardo seems to be made for Star Junction!
  • Audi R8 4.2 FSI: a great take on the R8, which is a difficult car to not admire. The download comes as a replacement for the Comet, but you can change the file names and handling line to fit the car of your choice.
  • 2009 Harley-Davidson VRSCF V-Rod Muscle: this mod is not only one of the first true motorcycle mods, but it's also the first to not replace a vehicle in-game! If you don't want to replace a current bike, you can actually add this Harley into GTA IV - the ReadMe provides very detailed instructions, but you'll need OpenIV first!

Okay, so this isn't entirely Grand Theft Auto related, but it's Rockstar related, and that's good enough for a brief piece of news, right? ZModeler2 WFT filter gets update for proper car damage

As anybody who has been installing the recently published GTA IV car mods will know, damage models have not been of the same quality that you see in GTA IV's stock cars. Oleg has now released a new update for his ZModeler2 WFT export filter which aims to change this. Available through ZMAutoUpdate, the new filter will allow mod authors to create proper mesh deformation using specific shader names. Here are some examples of cars exported using the new filter:
Expect authors of previously released car mods to be rereleasing their mods under this new filter to get proper damage models for them - as always we'll be constantly uploading to our GTA IV vehicle mod database and notifying you all of updates on the homepage!

The Ballad of Gay Tony coming October 29th

Rockstar Games have updated the official website for The Ballad of Gay Tony to announce the release date of this episode, which is the 29th of October, the update also includes a new wallpaper of a character we haven't seen before.
Also relating to this news, Rockstar Games have launched an official website for the Episodes From Liberty City, which is also out on the 29th of October and will be available in stores.

The first public preview video of Vice City Online's new RC2 update is now live. VCO RC2 is the next-gen VCO which has been created from scratch, thus having a huge advantage over RC1. Advanced synchronization, improved and reduced amount of calculations, and of course, it's features are among the many new additions. The first developer's video features the new synchronization systems and nametags, which have significantly improved. Watch the video in high quality below or on YouTube:
