Ubisoft Partners with GUNNAR Optiks for 'Ghost Recon: Future Soldier' Links : Comments | Forum Topic | Posted by Matt Stanyon | Date : Friday 18th May 2012 @ 10:00 AM GMT
Ubisoft has announced a partnership with GUNNAR Optiks, to bring a selection of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier branded glasses to opticians throughout North America. GUNNAR Optiks are high tech computer eyewear designed to protect, enhance and optimize your vision.
The problem is you spend most of your waking hours glued to your computer screen, smart phone, tablet or TV monitor. As the hours go by, you subject your eyes to harsh, high intensity blue light and glare from your screen. Constant viewing of digital screens can create visual stress, eye fatigue, dry eyes, irritation, and even headaches, leading to an obvious conclusion – staring at a computer for long hours can take a toll on your eyes.
The solution is that GUNNARS increase contrast, comfort and focus while minimizing eye fatigue and visual stress for anyone who spends long hours staring at digital screens. GUNNAR eyewear is powered by i-AMP lens technology comprised of a proprietary lens material in an advanced geometry tuned for intermediate viewing distance and finished with custom formulated lens filters, tints and coatings.

Kendrick Lamar is Final 'Ghost Recon: Future Soldier' "Team Ghost" Member Links : Comments | Forum Topic | Posted by Matt Stanyon | Date : Friday 18th May 2012 @ 10:00 AM GMT
Ubisoft has revealed the final member of “Team Ghost,” a group of celebrity gamers brought together to promote Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. The final member of Team Ghost is Hip-Hop star Kendrick Lamar, who also created a song inspired by Ghost Recon Future Soldier, “War Is My Love,” which will be released on Monday 21st May 2012.
He's the fourth celebrity gamer to be revealed as part of “Team Ghost,” with the first member having already been revealed as NBA All-Star Kevin Love, the second as Oklahoma State Wide Receiver Justin Blackmon, and the third as reality star (and wife of Law & Order: SVU star Ice-T) Coco.
Kendrick Lamar said the following about participating in Team Ghost :
"I'm obviously a vocal guy, so I'm going to pave the way to victory for Team Ghost, and make sure you hear about it the entire time. Playing Ghost Recon is no different from being a rapper, really going full force against the competition and breaking through the enemy lines, just like I do with my bars."

'Splinter Cell: Extinction' Fan Series Behind the Scenes Video #4 Links : Comments | Forum Topic | Posted by Matt Stanyon | Date : Tuesday 15th May 2012 @ 23:00 PM GMT
The surprising new fan series "Splinter Cell: Extinction", based on the hit video game "Splinter Cell," is being created strictly to celebrate the Splinter Cell franchise for all it has accomplished over the years, which follows an NSA operative as he uncovers a nationwide government conspiracy.
The series is being created by members of Companion Pictures, with Pascal Yen Pfister, Jessica Pierson, Matt Riker and Patrick Ginnetty starring in the series, which quite frankly looks absolutely stunning, with its use of helicopters, boats, special effects, and some amazing acting.
Unfortunately, Splinter Cell: Extinction finished last month, after eight episodes and a prologue, with a running time of nearly two hours. Luckily now though, after three previous Behind the Scenes videos, that document the making and compilation of Splinter Cell: Extinction, Companion Pictures have released the fourth Behind the Scenes video for the fan series, called "Helicopter Boat Chase" and gives a detailed account of the scene from the perspective of the actors, production team and producers.
If you wish to check out the fan series, then you can view the entire series here on Hybrid Games as well as on the Official YouTube Playlist, with each episode running for around fifteen minutes. Until then we'll bring you more details as soon as we get more information on any Splinter Cell related updates from Companion Pictures, including any Behind the Scenes developments.

Ubisoft have announced on the US PlayStation Blog today that Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 and Rainbow Six: Vegas 1 are now available to download on the Vita's PlayStation Store, and are now fully compatible with the system, meaning that the D-Pad controls can now be configured to the right analogue stick.
We're currently awaiting word from the EU PlayStation Blog, to see if any more PSP games are being made compatible with the Vita here as well.
